Elevated radials for HF: practical insights and results

Has anyone here experimented with HF ground mounted elevated radials? I've been considering setting one up for better performance and to save space, but I'm curious about others experiences. Specifically, how much of a difference did you see in terms of signal strength and efficiency? I've read mixed reviews on the effectiveness of elevated radials versus traditional ground radials, and it'd be great to hear from people who've actually tried it out.

I've not seen it for elevated radials. Dad did have a field that he put 360 copper wire radials at the base of a tower he used. Then he had controls to load the antenna in whichever direction he wanted. It worked very well. So, depending on what is under the radials, the radials should work well for you.

Yep, I've used them on 40 and 20m and they actually work great when you tune them well, often better than ground radials

Did you go ahead with the elevated radials? The big advantage many find is that you only need a few tuned radials per band sometimes just 2-4 to create a very efficient antenna.
