I'm digging around a bit into the radio setup of the local fire department, and I've got a question. I found the main repeaters pretty straightforward, but I stumbled upon a mention of an encrypted simplex frequency. Does anyone happen to know what that might be? I'd love any insights you can share

Hey there, I'd be a bit cautious poking around encrypted simplex, those channels are usually for sensitive comms. Best bet's to stick with public info and avoid messing with anything secure, just to be safe.

Curiosity killed the cat and in this case it can land you into trouble. The quick rundown is that this is a direct communication, radio to radio and it's scrambled to everyone except the radio that has the right encryption. We can applaud your curiosity, but leave it at that, just theoretical.
