Has anyone tried a halfwave dipole on 630?

Has anyone tried a halfwave dipole on 630 meters? I've got the wire (1000' 14ga stranded copper) and some space to work with, and I am planning for 20-30' height, depending on supports, it looks like most people are using verticals or shorter antennas

I don't have anything (yet) that will get down that far. The height seems a little low, but maybe that will work. Let us know. What rig are you using and how much power are you putting out?

Hmm, be careful with that height, 20-30 feet might be a little low for 630 meters, especially for a halfwave dipole, you might not get the best radiation pattern at that height

I've played around with a dipole on lower bands before, and let me tell you, height matters way more than you'd think. When I tried a 20-30' height, it wasn't giving me the best performance, especially on lower frequencies. The verticals tend to have better efficiency at that height for sure. You might still get some results, but it's worth considering a taller setup if you're looking to really make the most of that 630-meter range

Have you heard of or used a 1/4 KW or KW Johnson match box? They are very valuable in tuning an antenna to various frequencies.
